High-Fidelity Wraparound Training & Certification

All certifications necessitate the completion of Wraparound Training 101, a comprehensive 24-hour training program conducted over four days. This course is designed to equip participants with the essential skills required to implement High-Fidelity Wraparound effectively. The training is skills-based and covers the foundational aspects of the Wraparound model.

Completion of Wraparound Training 101 is particularly beneficial for peer specialists and others within the system of care who require foundational knowledge of wraparound principles and may participate as team members assisting with developing care plans with families. Upon successfully finishing Wraparound Training 101, participants will receive a Certificate of Completion; however, it is important to note that this certificate does not constitute an official certification.

In this training you will be introduced to the following practice knowledge:

• Adopting and embedding the 10 Principles of Wraparound
• Understanding and navigating the Phases of Wraparound
• Exploring the Theory of Change of Wraparound
• Measuring High-Fidelity with Tools and Processes in Wraparound

In addition, learners will be oriented with the following conceptual knowledge:

• Foundational Knowledge required to practice Wraparound with High-Fidelity
• Focus on Practice Skills to ensure learners ability to implement the practice
• Essential philosophical and ethical shifts in thinking
• Engagement Strategies for consumers of HF Wraparound
• Development of Strengths-based, Trauma-informed, and other professional lenses that enhance HF Wraparound practice
• Challenges / Barriers common for newer practitioners

After completion of Wraparound Training 101 students will start working towards Competency Certification.  This certification is designed for students who work directly with families. During competency training, the students will complete an additional foundations training and are required to complete an oral presentation of their skills as well as pass a written exam.  This certification takes approximately 6 to 9 months to complete.  Upon completion, students will receive a Competency Based Wrapround Practitioner Certification.

Upon successful completion of Wraparound Training 101 and the attainment of Competency Certification, students may advance to Proficiency Certification, provided they meet all necessary requirements. This certification is intended for individuals who have demonstrated competency in the wraparound model and are in supervisory or administrative roles.

In addition to completing the competency training, students must submit a portfolio that illustrates their fidelity to the wraparound process. The Proficiency Certification typically requires a commitment of approximately 9 to 12 months to complete. Upon fulfillment of all requirements, students will receive Proficiency Based Wraparound Practitioner Certification.
